Who knew that Bono was a capitalist.... One more instance of liberals being compassionate (with compassion defined as "I will take money from other people to apply toward some bureaucrats in a department loosely constructed around the goal of solving some problem that I feel moderately guilty about but am not willing to put forth any of my own resources to solve").
I'm going to have to disagree with you, Jordan. Bono has spent thousands of hours promoting AIDS awareness and poverty awareness through charity concerts and public speeches. He's done a considerably better job at giving to those in need than most liberals.
No he hasn't. He has tried to steal the money of others to support a good cause he likes, rather than work to make money himself in order to use it for that cause. There is nothing noble in the former and nothing but nobility in the later.
In that article there is mention of a "one" campaign, with the goal of devoting one additional percent of the federal budget to "releaving poverty" (aka, distributing wealth to African dictators who are guilty of genocide). That is a perfect example of how Bono operates. He feels guilty so he lobbies governments (usually not citizens, mind you) to give money to Africa.

Well said, Chris.
